Sometimes we all get carried away by trends and want to be on the edge of it. But, is it wise to try to live up to those trends on your big day? Being trendy of course has its pros and cons.
It’s the trend! When something is trending, it tends to be noticed easily. This applies to weddings too. You will get noticed among many and they will be busy comparing you to others who were trying to live up to the same thing. This could be a good thing if you followed the trend to perfect it then you can rank up.
Things might be readily available. When something is trending, it means that it is very much available, may it be the kind of decoration that you are going for or the kind of gown you are going for. The things will be available at all times since the producers know exactly what’s trending and therefore they will make more of them.
It saves time and effort. When you follow a certain trend, it saves you the hustle of going around looking for what suits your event better, what gown to get or the kind of music to play. That is where trends become efficient because they will outline that theme for you and that will be a great stress
This is one of the main disadvantages when it comes to trends. For instance, the most likely trend you can find at weddings is the timing. There are those peak seasons when everyone suddenly wants a wedding. The problem with this is that every venue will be booked, and it might cost you a lot more than getting a booking in the low season.
Will it be special? When planning for your big day, the one thing that should constantly be in your mind is how to make it special. Following the trend can at times strip this fact to end up with what seemed like a wedding planned for different people, instead of being yours. That is why you have to get your wedding designed exactly in line with your taste and preferences.
Compromises personal touch. Your wedding needs a personal touch that represents you and your partner. Maybe the trend at that moment is contemporary, but you are more of a classic person, you don’t have to compromise something like that on your wedding day. It is a day of its own kind, and you should design your wedding to your own personal theme that speaks your journey. The day should be both romantic and emotional therefore it should not be compromised to something that does not symbolize the both of you.
